1967   Born in San Francisco, California, USA.
1977   Move to Wuppertal, the city with the most unique rail system world-wide,
the "Schwebebahn" (click here for more information).
1989   Finished apprenticeship as electrician and passed the German exam.
1990   Worked for Kaufhof Schwelm and several small electric companies.
     
1996   Started IT career at "ITK Telekommunikations AG" Dortmund as 1st level support engineer, moved to 2nd level support engineer three months later.
1998   "Digi International Inc." acquires ITK, opening the oppertunity to turn hobby to a career by moving to the IT department as help desk admin.
2000   Promotion to "Senior Network Administrator" (or "Senior System Administrator"), doing IT infrastructure work, European wide.
2003   Got Microsoft Certifications starting with Windows 2000 (MCSA and MSCE) and upgraded these to Windows Server 2003 a year later.
2010   Upgraded certifications to Windows Server 2008 (MCITP Enterprise Admin) and added new certifications for Cisco (CCNA) and ITIL Foundations.
     
2013   New position as "International System Administrator" at "ELG Haniel" in Duisburg, Germany.
2014   Upgraded Microsoft certifications to MCSA Server 2012 and completed VmWare Certification VCP5-DCV Esxi 5.5
     
2014   New position as "IT-System/Networkadministrator" at Taprogge Gesellschaft mbH in Wetter Wengern (Ruhr), Germany, a world leader for its tube cleaning systems for steam turbine condensers and heat exchangers.

1995   Met my wife Heike.
1996   Moved with her to the city of Bochum .
1999   Married on the crazy date of 9.9.1999.
It was huge a surprise to see ourselves on the local title page of the WAZ newspaper on the following day.
2002   Our daughter Chelsey is born.
2005   Our son Garreth is born.
